Support » Plugin: Fast Secure Contact Form » Two columns; no table?

  • Hi there,
A while ago I got help from Mike to make my form into two columns using tables. At the time, that was exactly what I needed. (And since I see that a lot of you need that too, here is the solution.)

Now, however, I am making my website responsive, so the table must go. Is there a non-table, floating div solution out there?

Or, is there a way to strip all of the plugin’s default CSS (and extra divs) out? I would love to retain the functionality of the plugin but ditch the styling so I can build it back up myself.

    Any ideas?

  • Hi shainanz have a read through the following URL. Let me know if that helps you.

I have had a look at that URL, but am having trouble implementing it on my form as it is more complicated than the example given. Is there a live demo you have of this in action?

Additionally, it looks like that by using position: relative to move some of the fields, it will force those fields to stay positioned even as the page resizes, rather than dropping down below the first column as they would do if it were floated. Is that the case?

PS – The link above is to our live site, which still has the table-style two-column layout. I am making changes on a separate test site.

Hi if you use percentage instead of pixels that should also improve for responsive layout.

Hi here are two links that will help you further.

Hi shainanz is your issue resolved?

    Thank you

Hi mbrsolution. I ended up switching to a different plugin that made it much easier to get the solution I needed.

Hi shainanz thank you for reporting back and I am happy to hear that you found a solution to your problem with another plugin.

Can you mark this support thread as resolved since you no longer use this plugin.

    Thank you kindly
