Support » Plugin: WordPress Popular Posts » Two categories? Cardview compact

  • Resolved LaMpiR

I have added the widget on the front page and it works great. I have used cardview compact for it.

The problem happened when we had a post with two categories, so the category tittle is displayed on over other. You can see for your self on the page.

Would be very grateful if there is a way to fix this?

    Best regards

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @lampir,

Yeah, when I built these themes I didn’t take into account that people may assign multiple categories to their posts. May fix that in a future update.

For the time being try adding this code snippet to your theme’s functions.php file (skip the first step, that’s no longer necessary.)

Hi. Thank you for the quick reply, I will try it tomorrow 🙂

Since I am here, I have another question as well. It doesn’t work sometimes in the sense that the pictures are not shown. I am using W3 Cache with Redis.

I (probably) have an answer for that one as well: link. Next version of the plugin will change the way lazy loading works which in my tests seems to work more reliably than the current JS based implementation so you may want to enable it again once version 5.2 is officially released.

Make sure to clear W3TC’s cache after disabling the feature.

Thank you very much for the help.

Disabled lazyload, purged the cache and on desktop chrome everything works perfectly.

On my Chrome phone, no images are loaded at all :/

You likely need to clear Android/iOS Chrome’s cache as well, @lampir.

Hi. Sorry to taking a bit longer to reply. I have tried that and it worked for a day or two. After, no pictures, some may be shown, but the thing is it is displaying posts which are not longer in the top posts on the desktop. I switch to the desktop mode on android chrome and the same.

Probably still caching related, @lampir. Unfortunately nothing I can help with as that’s outside the control of the plugin so double check your site’s configuration.
