• Hi all.

The theme I am using has a heavily customised blog page as it’s front page, and for many reasons this can’t be changed. There is a small box on this page which actually shows 2 of the latest blog entries. I have experimented with Settings -> front page displays and if I change it to a static page every blog page looks like the front page!

I have a separate page that I want to show all blog posts in. I am new to this, so explaining it like I’m 5 ( (C) Reddit! ) which widget or setting can I change on a standard page to make it show all categories of blog post. Ideally as shortened entries.

    Thanks.

  • What theme are you using? Where did you download it from?

    Hi and thanks.

Its a scouting theme called scouts4wordpress from

    http://www.iscout4wordpress.org.uk/themes/scouts/

The last time I mentioned this theme on here I got a short note saying it’s not supported, go away! But it’s not really about the theme, the question is how, in ANY theme, do I add the posts to a page without playing with settings?

Every Google search response tells me to go to settings -> reading and change the front page. This won’t work here. The way this theme is designed is a heavily customised index page designed is over the top of the blogs. I want blogs to fully show in the “Latest District News” page which is a standard page. I’ve tried intelliwidget, PHP with The Loop (Php is just printed on screen as text) and I’m stuck.

    And I can’t change the theme. 🙂

Oh well, I’ll work on something else for a while to get my ,mind off it.

    Mike.
