twitter,Facebook share counts reset to 0

    I moved the host from old to new and now my twitter.facebook share counts are reset to zero.i did NOT change anything in permalink structure.
    – However i noticed that if i try to set the permalink under custom structure to %postname%,it says updated but it doesn’t stay selected ,it gets defaulted to one above saying “post name”.I checked the DB and the values are %postname% then why it is messed up.
