(@mutecht) has the best Twitter widget I’ve seen so far. I would like to download it on my site, but I don’t know which widget they’ve used. I also like the bottom of their page which has their facebook posts and tweets. I assume this is also a widget. Can someone please tell me which widget this is?

  • Hi mutecht,

I looked at the source code for the page, specifically the social widgets. Usually plugins have some sort of reference to their own name in the HTML or CSS, but these widgets don’t, they may have been hand-developed for the site.

I did find the Child Theme’s CSS page though, which has info about the authors of the theme.

    Hi Odai,

Thank you for the information. Unfortunately, we are not looking to develop our own widget at this time.

Can you recommend any good Twitter/ Facebook widgets? We would like something similar to what they have, if possible.

    Thanks again,

I haven’t used a Twitter widget in years, so I was surprised how much has changed. Turns out, Twitter has their own built-in widget builder now!

It looks like they give you the code, and you can just paste that into a basic text widget on your WordPress site. You can see such a Twitter widget at The Non-Adventures of Wonderella.

Thank you! This link was really helpful. I didn’t know Twitter had its own widget. This will work for us.

Happy to help. Would you mind setting this topic to “resolved“? It helps with forum organization.

    Thanks again!
