I was creating a local dev environment and created a test post and didn’t realize it would auto publish straight into the twitter timeline. There were no prompts this would happen and the Sharing option page had prompts indicating that my accounts needed to be synced to publish – so how confusing is that? You assume things weren’t setup, but they really are.

    Anyways:
When I deleted the post, the tweet still remained in the timeline.

Let’s say I don’t have access to that twitter account – how do I remove the test post from the timeline? Or is this just a one-way flow? If the latter, that’s even more reason the UX needs for a prompt so users know what is/isn’t being published.

    UPDATE:
I gained access to twitter and removed the tweet. After the caching went away, the tweets eventually went away from the twitter timeline widdet.
