twitter posts not populating on my WP blogsite

For sometime now my tweets have not been showing up on my wordpress site.
I did some preliminary research and a common theme is to re-write the code or copy and paste the code from my twitter account to my WP blogsite.

Unfortunately, I had no luck with attempting this as I regrettably have limited computer knowledge. However, when I accessed my twitter account I clicked settings/widgets/create new and at the top of that page was:
“Add any public Twitter timeline to your website using the tool below. Simply select your timeline source, options, and copy and paste the code in the HTML of your page.”

The issue at this point is Im not understanding what the “timeline source” is…..
the only item I noticed was my twitter name itself. Therefore Im uncertain how to locate the code or where to paste it.

I apologize for the novice questioning and lack of computer knowledge but any patient assistance and simplified instructions would be greatly appreciated.
