[Resolved] Twitter link opening to Hootsuite

  • Site: Saints Not Sinners (doesn’t open in new tab automatically)

I’m using custom menus for my Navbar, and everything seems to be going good, but I’ve run into a problem and I have no idea what the cause is. Under the “Social” drop-down menu on my site, my Twitter link is randomly opening the Hootsuite website, but I don’t have a Hootsuite link anywhere on my entire site, so it’s a mystery to me where this is coming from.

It even shows “twitter.com” in the bar at the bottom of the browser when I hover over the link, and I have the “http://” typed correctly as well.

    Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

I don’t see how it can be wp. You clearly have the link, href="https://twitter.com/saintnotsinner" and you are making it to the twitter server. The problem has to be there.

I tried to duplicate several times but could not.

Hey, thanks for the attempts at help, you two.

I figured it out. It’s because I had a hootsuite plug-in on google chrome, so what it was really trying to do was open my twitter feed in the Hootsuite dashboard, but since I wasn’t logged in, it made it appear like it was just forwarding to the site. This would explain why it wasn’t happening to anybody else.

It took deleting my Hootsuite account to figure it out. Lol.

    Thanks again for the help!
