• I have just started using Widget Logic to make different widgets appear on different pages of my site.

The problem I have is that when I restrict a twitter widget to one page, the feed stops loading. I have tried this with two different twitter widgets. If I leave the widget logic field blank, the twitter feed loads with no problem. If I add is_page(‘contact’) to the widget logic field then the widget is only shown on my contact page, but the feed doesn’t load.

Is there any way to fix this?

  • which twitter widget do you use – the twitter widget i use doesn’t do that (but it is one i wrote myself)

I have tried with two different twitter widgets – “Graphene Twitter” and “Twitter (Jetpack”). One is part of the Graphene Theme and the other is part of the Jetpack pluging (which was pre-installed on my WordPress installation). Neither works.

i tried the jetpack one and it worked much as expected on my normal WP install with WL. you’ll have to point me at a/your site showing this behaviour i think.

You could try fiddling with the “load logic” setting on the Widget admin page (at the bottom) — that might have some effect

    I’m having the same issue.

Adding is_home() to the widget logic of the twitter timeline widget (jetpack) keeps the tweets from showing. The widget loads, but prevents the content of the widget from displaying. If I clear the widget logic box, the widget operates normally.

try changing the “load logic” setting to see if that makes a difference. i tried the jetpack twitter widget and it works ok with WL on my install, so something else is going on. can you point me at a page that works OK and one that doesn’t and I might be able to discern the difference in the HTML of the pages
