# Twitter error code 68 – New API – not working

 * I found this plugin after other Twitter plugins haven’t switched to the new Twitter
   API. It seems to be exactly what I’m looking for. I can’t get it to work with
   the new Twitter API either. This is the error code I am getting in entirety:
 * > Problem retrieving data from Twitter
   > Twitter error code: 68 – The Twitter REST API v1 is no longer active. Please
   > migrate to API v1.1. [https://dev.twitter.com/docs/api/1.1/overview](https://dev.twitter.com/docs/api/1.1/overview).
   > lease check the Twitter name in the widget or shortcode, Rotating Tweets settings
   > or the Twitter API status.
 * I’m using version 1.4.7 of the plugin.

 * Have you put the Consumer key, Consumer secret, Access token and Access token
   secret into the settings as per [http://wordpress.org/plugins/rotatingtweets/installation/](http://wordpress.org/plugins/rotatingtweets/installation/)?
 * If they are correctly input, this shouldn’t be happening.

 * Ah…no not yet. I realized that I needed that information just after posting the
   above. I’m awaiting login info from my client.

 * You don’t need to have the log-in details of the account you want to show, so
   you can test it with your own details if you want! 🙂
 * It’s only posting tweets that requires the correct account details.
