There is no such issue, twitter character length is doubled by twitter recently.
In the plugin’s settings page an option added for this,labelled as Twitter character limit ,which is assigned a default value of 280.
This value will be set to 140,if entered value is less than 140.

So I am the only one where only 85 chars are published on Twitter?
I have something like :
Titel – url #tag1 #tag2
In Twitter now it is 85 chars of the title followed by “…”
It does this:
Title…
instead of:
Title – url #tag1 #tag2 (“…” when needed)
Image is posted like it should.

All my settings are correct.
Could you please recheck the value of Twitter character limit, that is a new configuration added to the settings page with a default value of 280.Please make sure the value is set to 280.

It is not the length, it is a bug. Only the title is published followed by 3 dots.

I have overwritten the files with files from a fresh download of the plugin. Still the same. Check it yourself and you will see.

The twitter character limit of tweets is 280 but languages like Chinese, Japanese and Korean won’t get the 280 character length limit.That’s why a new configuration added to the plugin with default value of 280,so that those who uses Chinese, Japanese and Korean could configure it from the settings page and set it to 140.There is no other changes!
We do test every new feature added to the plugins. If you set the Twitter character limit as 280 then it will work properly.
I did tested it with image upload and message like Title – url #tag1 #tag2 .
