Support » Plugin: JM Twitter Cards » Twitter Card Validation Tool; Not Understanding

  • Resolved pws55

I’m new to Twitter Cards, but I think I understand the overall concept. However, I’m not understanding how to use the Twitter Validator tool in conjunction with this plugin. I have two primary questions:

    1. When I click on the Validation Tool link within the plugin, I’m prompted by Twitter to start a whole new card. How does this work if I want to create a different card for each of my products and blog post? Which card in particular should I run through the validation tool?

    2. Do I need to run each Twitter Card (I want one for each product and post)? If so, how do I do that? Within the product page interface I’m not given the validation option.

    Link to my site:

    All help is appreciated!

Hi, Twitter tool allows you to test your markup. Basically any URL of your site will do the trick with my plugin. When Twitter reviews you site it will find all the necessary markup to activate several types of cards (e.g summary, photo).

It can take a while because there are a lot of submissions.

So do I need to only go through the validation process once? If so, is there any particular type of card that I need to choose for the run through? Maybe this is a dumb question because above you say that the URL is really what Twitter needs, but I just want to be completely sure…

Ok thanks for the clarification. I guess “no”, maybe you’ll have to re-validate for large_card_summary and it’s the same for next feature to be implemented in the plugin >>> product cards

Twitter is not so clear about that, I’ll ask them.
