    Hi,
I followed instructions in https://wordpress.org/support/topic/footer-137/ and have added a third footer column. I can also add the third column content using the widgets.

Problem: the third column is displaying below column 1 and 2. and new column sizes are not registering when I inspect the code even though I add !important after the new width. In inspect mode, I can override and make columns 1 and 2 33%, but it does not seem to work with column 3.

I am using a child theme, and have set up folders correctly.

Has anyone else tackled this successfully?

For the test link, look in the footer area and see test column 3.

    Thanks for any tips
    Joanne

  • UPDATE:
The third column now appears to be loading correctly. Many thanks to Michael @alchymyth for his great solution.

I guess my site just needed a good hard cache purge.
