[Twentyfourteen] How to make a landing page with no menu's? (4 posts)

    Hey,

I use a childtheme of 2014. For my site I use both the top and left menu I also have the footer-area in use, but I would like to make some landing pages with no menus showing at all. So I can just post text, pictures and a button in the 2014 style.

How can I make thes kinds of landingpages? (ideal would be to have it as a template next to the 'full width' and 'contributers')

    Thanks a lot

    Artio

With a child theme, you can define your own custom page templates.

Yeah I figured that would be possible, but I have no clue where to start?

@Artio, Could you give a try to http://www.chipbennett.net/2010/11/01/oenology-how-to-create-a-child-theme-and-a-custom-page-template/ and see if it works?

I wanted to do something like this for my blog, i.e make http://hi.chaitanyamsv.com as the landing page for http://chaitanyamsv.com

But I can't work on this immediately as I have other things to do.
