Support » Themes and Templates » TwentyEleven Child CSS Not working

  • I was trying out a different theme tonight, and when I re-activated the TwentyEleven theme none of the changes I made in my TwentyEleven Child Theme are being read. The code in the Child CSS removes the comment balloon, the border around the header, and removes the search box. Now they are all back. The location has not changed, nor has the CSS file. Any ideas.

  • Look and see if that stylesheet is “attached” to the theme files.

when I re-activated the TwentyEleven theme

is that just wrong wording or did you really activate Twenty Eleven instead of your child theme?

Thanks alchymth, that is the answer. I am new working with the WordPress themes, at least with making changes. I’d set up the blog about a year ago, and haven’t made design changes since. I didn’t realize that the Child Theme is added to the theme choices and needs to be activate instead of the original. Much obliged. All is now well – for the moment!
