# Twenty Twenty Three Theme error

 * Hi. If Twenty Twenty Three or Twenty Twenty Two Theme activated, when I try to
   add a new post or page I get this 404 error in console:
 * GET [http://localhost/sites/xxx/?p=yyy&_wp-find-template=true](http://localhost/sites/xxx/?p=yyy&_wp-find-template=true)
   404 (Not Found)
 * The error disappear only by activating Twenty Twenty One Theme. I found that 
   it is related to WPML plugin (if I deactivate WPML there’s no error no matter
   what theme is active).
 * Any help or suggestion? Obviously I contacted WPML assistants but it seems that
   if Twenty Twenty One Theme works well, there’s no much they can do.

 * Ok I’ve checked that the problem is the theme.json file. There is a sort of incompatibility
   between WPML and all themes using a theme.json file.

 * You should try askng for help from wpml group. It is a commercial application.
   They should be able to provide you with any assistance. The Theme.json file is
   a text file that used to configure site and block settings. It doesn’t contain
   any Executable code. It kind of like a configuration file that tells blocks how
   to format their data. It might be adding some configurations that the application
   doesn’t like. Theme.json can be completely empty and your theme should still 
   run. It only effect layouts and styles of your site.

 * I know, you are completely right. I’m using theme.json file just in order to 
   define some rules for blocks editing (hiding what I do not need for example).
   It may also be empty but the error remains.
 * Given that the error doesn’t seem to cause any functional issue, the only solution
   to fix for now is deleting the file and using filters to apply similar rules.
 * WPML assistance is a bit complicated and they are suggesting weird solutions 
   that do not fit in my case. I will see.
 * Thank you for your help, anyway.
