Support » Theme: Twenty Twenty-One » Twenty Twenty One: post page excerpt padding

    Hi, thanks in advance for your help. I am running Twenty Twenty One theme. On the blog page – home page is a static page – the excerpts I create for each blog post have a large gap of empty space below them when displayed on the posts page. I have tried varying the length of the excerpts, but the theme adds this large space regardless of how many words are in the excerpt.

    Cannot see a setting for this in the Twenty Twenty One advanced options plug in.

    Many thanks

    WIll

    Hi @willwain – Twenty Twenty-One is designed to have quite a bit space between posts, but there’s a horizontal separator that’s normally supposed to appear in that area as part of the design. Since you don’t have the separators on your site, you can reduce the amount of space between posts by adding this to the custom CSS editor, at Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS:

    .site-main > article > .entry-footer {
      padding-bottom: 0;
    }
    .site-main > article {
      margin-top: 0;
      margin-bottom: 0;
    }

    @zoonini thank you so much, that’s worked perfectly.
