[Resolved] Twenty Twelve remove the link in the site title

  • I have a website here
I am using a child Theme
I am using Chrome developer tool and fir bug.
I cannot figure out how to remove the link in the site title that takes you back to the home page.

I would rather have the site title not linkable in order for phones to pick up a phone number when touched and dial it.

    Thanks

You would need to edit the header.php template file inside your child theme and change:
    <h1 class="site-title"><a href="<?php echo esc_url( home_url( '/' ) ); ?>" title="<?php echo esc_attr( get_bloginfo( 'name', 'display' ) ); ?>" rel="home"><?php bloginfo( 'name' ); ?></a></h1>

    to:

    <h1 class="site-title"><?php bloginfo( 'name' ); ?</h1>

    Awesome Esmi!

I was starting there and deleting pieces at a time, but could not quite wrap my head around it.

I tested it out and it does make the number clickable on the phone as well.

    Thanks much
