Hi, we are running a new wedding blog & so far it has been a great success. However, the mobile version of the site isn’t diaplaying right.

I’ve tried a plugin called WP Mobile Detector but the theme’s aren’t ideal & more importantly, they don’t show the sidebar which contains sponsored (paid) links from suppliers.

I’ve deactivated the plugin so you can see the desktop & mobile version ‘in action’.

Please could someone have a look & let me know what I need to change in order to get the mobile version as close to the desktop version as possible.

    The blog is at gwensbridalbazaar.com

Thanks in advance, I look forward to your comments.

Have you modified theme files? (That should only be done in a Child Theme particularly for a default theme.)

Twentytwelve is intentionally designed to put the sidebar below the main content on mobile – which seems to be happening on your site.

Twenty Twelve is a mobile theme; meaning it was built for mobile phones from the ground up.

You’ll have to nearly overhaul the entire CSS layout on every style that is within Media Queries.

    I advise you seek a non-mobile theme.

Hi, thanks for the comments. It’s a shame that the sidebar is shown underneath – I’ll have a look at some other mobile themes using the plugin.

I think you’ll find that’s fairly standard for “responsive” themes. Where would you want the sidebar to be?

BTW, if the theme is already coded for mobile or responsive, you really should not need a plugin for mobile.
