  • Resolved gcoulby

    This is my first time trying to create a dynamic width page with 2012. I have a page currently in HTML & CSS which has a width of 100% I know it’s not always good practice but this design calls for it. I found a bit of code that would take it from W:906px to W1100px but that’s still no good. I just want plain a simple 100% until it gets to 600px then it switches to mobile view (which funnily enough is 100% width).

    Twenty Twelve already has a dynamic width.

    i figured it out with a simple reset. However, for some reason it wasn’t working. However, there was a conflict in my reset. I applied this to the theme.

    body .site {
    	margin-top: 0px;
    	padding: 0px;
    .site {
    	max-width: 1400px;				/* EDIT WIDTH (for dynamic width type max-width: none; )  */
    	padding: 0px;
    #main {
    	padding-left: 40px;
    .site-title, .site-description {
    	margin-left: 40px;

    It worked a treat thanks for the response.
