  • I believe you would do it the same way, edit single.php and move the .entry-meta div down to the bottom in your child themes single.php file

    Thanks Evan, that’s how I handled it last time but the .entry-meta div isn’t included in the single.php file. It looks like it’s pulling the post format from somewhere else, I just haven’t tracked it down yet.

     * The Template for displaying all single posts.
     * @package WordPress
     * @subpackage Twenty_Thirteen
     * @since Twenty Thirteen 1.0
    get_header(); ?>
    	<div id="primary" class="content-area">
    		<div id="content" class="site-content" role="main">
    			<?php /* The loop */ ?>
    			<?php while ( have_posts() ) : the_post(); ?>
    				<?php get_template_part( 'content', get_post_format() ); ?>
    				<?php twentythirteen_post_nav(); ?>
    				<?php comments_template(); ?>
    			<?php endwhile; ?>
    		</div><!-- #content -->
    	</div><!-- #primary -->
    <?php get_sidebar(); ?>
    <?php get_footer(); ?>

    Ok I have activated my ‘Twenty Thirteen’ theme, and it appears that

    <?php get_template_part( 'content', get_post_format() ); ?>

    is pulling the content from any of the files named

    for example if the post type was set as video it will pull content from

    for a audio post type it would pull content from

    I would check out content.php for the section you are looking for if you have not set a post type on those specific posts. It seems that ‘Twenty Thirteen’ uses post-types quite a lot

    And to follow up, just as I suspected, you have not set a post format type then content.php is where the post and all the other information is being pulled from. If you want the date, category etc to come after all of your post content you can copy and paste this to replace with your content.php

    Note this is from line 11-43 only , so just replace those lines

    <article id="post-<?php the_ID(); ?>" <?php post_class(); ?>>
    	<header class="entry-header">
    		<?php if ( has_post_thumbnail() && ! post_password_required() ) : ?>
    		<div class="entry-thumbnail">
    			<?php the_post_thumbnail(); ?>
    		<?php endif; ?>
    		<?php if ( is_single() ) : ?>
    		<h1 class="entry-title"><?php the_title(); ?></h1>
    		<?php else : ?>
    		<h1 class="entry-title">
    			<a href="<?php the_permalink(); ?>" rel="bookmark"><?php the_title(); ?></a>
    		<?php endif; // is_single() ?>
    	</header><!-- .entry-header -->
    	<?php if ( is_search() ) : // Only display Excerpts for Search ?>
    	<div class="entry-summary">
    		<?php the_excerpt(); ?>
    	</div><!-- .entry-summary -->
    	<?php else : ?>
    	<div class="entry-content">
    		<?php the_content( __( 'Continue reading <span class="meta-nav">→</span>', 'twentythirteen' ) ); ?>
    		<?php wp_link_pages( array( 'before' => '<div class="page-links"><span class="page-links-title">' . __( 'Pages:', 'twentythirteen' ) . '</span>', 'after' => '</div>', 'link_before' => '<span>', 'link_after' => '</span>' ) ); ?>
    	</div><!-- .entry-content -->
    	<div class="entry-meta">
    			<?php twentythirteen_entry_meta(); ?>
    			<?php edit_post_link( __( 'Edit', 'twentythirteen' ), '<span class="edit-link">', '</span>' ); ?>
    		</div><!-- .entry-meta -->
    	<?php endif; ?>

    Brilliant, thanks!

    Not a problem. Glad I could be of some assitance!

    Have a wonderful afternoon

    Dear Evan, I have used your solution for a website I created ( Thanks, it works great! But now the translation of ” Continue reading” to Dutch language is not working…. Do you know a solution for this problem?
