# Twenty eleven widgets

 * Hi guys,
 * I’m having difficulty with the twenty eleven theme on my website [http://mushroompalace.com/](http://mushroompalace.com/).
   
   The widgets I installed only appear in the blog section: Mushroom News!. Not 
   the static pages e.g. the home page. How can I make the widgets appear in the
   static pages?

 * By default the Twenty Eleven theme doesn’t show the sidebar on static pages. 
   You have a couple of options to add this functionality:
 * You can use a plugin like one of these to add custom sidebars:

 * [http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/graceful-sidebar-plugin/](http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/graceful-sidebar-plugin/)
 * [http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/custom-sidebars/](http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/custom-sidebars/)
 * You can also create a [Child Theme](http://codex.wordpress.org/Child_Themes) 
   and either add the code to call the sidebar in your page template (page.php) 
   or create a custom page template that calls the sidebar:
