I have a WP .com website using Twenty Ten. I wish to transfer the site to a self hosted WP .org site and still use the Twenty Ten Theme version 1.6.

How is this achieved once the ISP sets up the site on their Servers. I suppose what I really want to know is how to change from one Theme to the other as I believe that the 20/10 Theme if used on a .com site is not exactly the same when used on a .org site.

  • I’m in the same…
Choosing the theme isn’t a problem.

The problem I see is that the theme you download from wordpress.org doesn’t have everything (plugins…) that the one in wordpress.com website.

And I can’t find which plugins, and maybe other things, I need to complete it.

So, I didn’t answer your question, but I added something you probably didn’t found yet.

    Plugins aren’t really theme-specific.

Have you tried the Jetpack plugin? It brings many of the built-in WordPress.com features to WordPress.org blogs: http://jetpack.me/

Tks. It seems that this is the plugin I was looking for (photo galleries). I’ll probably looking for some more things.
