[Twenty Ten] Include single.php and mantain sidebars

  • Hello,
    i created a child template for Twenty Ten theme that has 3 columns.
    The lef and the right one are not properly a side bar, the two of them as calls to <?php dynamic_sidebar(‘primary_widget_area’); ?> … secondary, etc so they can fit my template.

    My problem is in the main column. There i’m using the Featured Posts Sroll and what i pretend is when i click in on of the articles on the scroll, i just want to refresh the main column of the page and mantain the rest as was before.

    I think i can do it with includes in php, but i’m not sure how i should do it since i still have some difficult in understanding part of default code wordpress.

  • Since no one was able to help me with this problem i tried a different tecnique.

    In the page single.php in my child theme folder i paste the code of the index and only change a few lines of code so that instead of appearing the plugin it appears the full length article. With this the page is 100% refreshed but whatever.

    But i have a problem, the code is almost the same but there is problems with character encoding.
    Some words with ‘,รง, or other characters like this are not recognized and i don’t now why since there are the same meta tags.

    <meta charset=”utf-8″>

    Any idea what it could be?
