Support » Theme: Twenty Ten » Twenty Ten doesn’t show posts’ Category nor Tags in Mobile view

  • When I view any post at my blog from desktop I can see both associated Category and Tags. However when I view the same post from my mobile (Chrome for Android) I can see neither.
How can I make the 2010 theme to start displaying them? Without changing the theme.
If I’ll have to edit PHP files, would I be able to do that if my hosting is WP.com?

  • Hi, did you get this working or still having the issue? When I view the post you linked to on various different device sizes using the Chrome developer tools the text at the bottom of the post:

This entry was posted in Winemaking and tagged 2019. Bookmark the permalink.

Is visible at several different screen sizes. Do you have a screenshot you could upload (https://snag.gy) and post the link here to show further the issue you’re seeing?

    Hi,
Yes, the issue was always there.
    Please see the screenshot: https://snipboard.io/WR0NI7.jpg
It’s the issue from mobile browser only, desktop browsers even in mobile mode show the data properly,

Ah, looks like you’re using WordPress.com and not the .org software that this forum is for. With that said, when on a mobile device a different “theme” is used to make the content easier to read. It doesn’t necessarily use the exact layout from the TwentyTen theme.

If you scroll down to the bottom of the single post on your site you should see an option to switch to the full site which will then show the actual TwentyTen theme layout.

    Hi,
Thanks for your reply and sorry for late mine.
Yes, I’m using the .com software/hosting. Does this mean that the mobile theme intentionally omits the information such as the category and the tags, and there is no way to show them back?

According to that article it looks like you may be able to disable the use of the mobile theme that they are using. If you go to Appearance->Mobile in your admin dashboard you may have that option:
