Twenty Ten 1.3 Remove Comment Date and Time

  • How do I remove the posted comment date and time?
    I am not a programmer. I do have a child theme with Functions.php

    possibly without too mich coding:

    try and add this to style.css of the child theme:

    .commentmetadata { display:none;}

    Thank you!!!! That did the both date and time.
    How would I just remove the time?

    more complicated –

    edit functions.php in your child theme;

    add the comment callback function function twentyten_comment( $comment, $args, $depth ), basically starting with a copy from the parent theme’s functions.php;

    remove the time output from it, by changing this line to:

    printf( __( '%1$s', 'twentyten' ), get_comment_date() ); ?></a><?php edit_comment_link( __( '(Edit)', 'twentyten' ), ' ' );

    this is the edited (comment time removed) comment function that needs to be added to functions.php of the child theme:
