Twenty Fourteen Slider Page Display Problem on Mobile devices

    I’ve just activated the slider feature on the Twenty Fourteen theme. The home page with the slider displays in a thin strip on the left, about a third of the width of the screen on mobile devices. Other pages display fine.

    Is this a bug with Twenty Fourteen (1.3 version)?

    Failing an answer to that, could anyone suggest some code which would stop the slider displaying on mobile devices?
