[resolved] twenty fourteen drop down menu padding (3 posts)

    I was wandering if anyone could give advice on how to reduce the padding between each navigation drop down menu item - thus reducing the length of the menus.
    At the moment, there is alot of "space" between each menu item, so I want to make them more compact without reducing the font size - I hope that makes sense:

    If you're not using a Child Theme, and if the theme doesn't have a designated section of the dashboard for CSS modifications then install this Custom CSS Manager plugin http://wordpress.org/plugins/custom-css-manager-plugin

    Then use its "CSS Code" section of the dashboard to hold your CSS modifications:

    Alternatively use your Child Theme style.css file to hold your CSS modifications:

    @media screen and (min-width: 783px) {
        .primary-navigation ul ul a {
            padding: 18px 12px;

    Reduce the "18" value.
