[Resolved] Twenty Eleven with no widgets

  • RC2

When removing all widgets from the main sidebar, I would expect the sidebar to be empty. However, “Archive” and “Meta” are displayed.

When selecting another widget (only one in main sidebar), then single one is displayed as expected.

this depends on the theme; most theme have some sort of space holder code in the sidebar template.

look into sidebar.php of Twenty Eleven.

I think you will find that this is the default content for the main sidebar. Try looking in sidebar.php.
