Twenty Eleven theme #searchbar creation

  • Hi all,

I am trying to remove the Search bar that features, seemingly, automatically in this theme.

I can find the location within the CSS file to hide it with a display: none; but this leaves the space it occupies, erm, occupied.

Where is the searchbar created; what code can I remove to prevent that?

I have a similar problem with the “Recent posts” text appearing at the bottom – so if you hav any ieas ow to remove either/both properly (or just hide the “Recent Posts”) I would be very grateful.

    Thanks in advance.

    OSH

Site, under construction, is: here; the search bar appears in the black menu strip, annoyingly! If I hide it, the space is not used by the menus as the space is still occupied.
