    Here is the URL:

I have placed 2 social media buttons in the header.php and aligned them beside the searchbox – but I am not happy with the overall alignment. I want them to move with the searchbox – when I decrease the browser size the searchbox shifts below the icons.

Can I place the icons in the searchform.php file somewhere?
    or
is there a better css solution for a better alignment?

A combination of these two is likely to produce your solution.
You need to place the icons in the HTML that they are not far-off the correct position.
Then you need to use CSS to position it without position: absolute, as this is likely to cause the problem when resizing the window. You could use position: relative; or margin: values instead.
