Twenty Eleven Menus not Updating in Database

    I had an earlier theme withe menus in WP 2.9.x. I just upgraded to WordPress 3.4.1 and installed Twenty Eleven. The earlier menu info didn’t show up in the Twenty Eleven Menu config. I created a brand new menu and populated it but the site still shows the old menu config. I suspect there’s something missing concerning the old menu info still being picked up by database. Any info how to reset the menu settings, thx?
