Twenty eleven how to control post navigation (2 posts)

    Hi all, I'm using a child theme =D
    I notice some of my posts do not have "next" and "previous" under them. Not sure why that's the case.
    It messes up the flow of navigation. If you go "next" you end up in a zone from which you cannot come back from because "previous" is not shown. This is distressing.

    I think the posts that do not have the below nav are referencing another template which does not have "below-nav" but I edited my own template which I want to reference.

    How do I know which template is being referenced to display it?
    Ideally - and I'm not sure if this would work - I just want to copy my reference and drop it into the template(s) which the posts without "nav-below" are using.
    Any suggestions?

    So what determines where next goes?
    Because "next" seems to not go forward and there are pots that I had re-ordered which don't appear in the sequence flow of where "next" points...

    FYI - I'm not bumping. Update to the above...

    The question really is:
    How to add navigation (nav-below) to single.php?

    Meanwhile I copied below from single.php into content-single.php:

    <nav id="nav-single">
    <h3 class="assistive-text"><?php _e( 'Post navigation', 'twentyeleven' ); ?></h3>
    <span class="nav-previous"><?php previous_post_link( '%link', __( '<span class="meta-nav"></span> BACK', 'twentyeleven' ) ); ?></span>
    <span class="nav-next"><?php next_post_link( '%link', __( 'NEXT <span class="meta-nav"></span>', 'twentyeleven' ) ); ?></span>
    </nav><!-- #nav-single -->

    It looks like the desired result but if anyone including myself can suffer from doing this, or if you happen to know better please help.

    It's not the same as "nav-below" - I know but what else?
