[resolved] Twenty-Eleven: How to add sidebar to posts when in Gallery (4 posts)

Okay, I am in Gallery visual on my main blog page for posts. I have a sidebar and I can see it when on the main page of my blog. My posts are in Gallery Format.

But when I click on the Title of the post to read the full post the sidebar disappears.

    Any help would be fantastic!
    Thanks in advance,

do you want to have the sidebar for all single posts, independant of the post format?
then consider using a plugin: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/twenty-eleven-theme-extensions/

and make sure not to edit Twenty Eleven directly, but to use a child theme; http://codex.wordpress.org/Child_Themes

Wow that was fast... thanks a lot. That plugin worked like a charm.

Also, thanks for the advice about a child theme. I'm still reading up on how to create one. May take me a while to comprehend... LOL

Okay, now what I would like to do is have a page only list posts from one category instead of all the posts when I am in Gallery.

Right now I have a page titled "Press Releases" and that page I have enabled the Showcase Template.

I only want the posts from category "press-releases" to show up at the bottom of that page. Right now all the posts show up.
