    Hi there,

Firstly, thanks for providing such a great plugin to the WP community!

    Two quick questions:

    1) Is it somehow possible to exclude ‘Tweets & replies’ from the feed so that it’s only normal tweets that’s being pulled?

    2) This one might be a bit more of a far shot, but is it possible to only feed images?

    Thanks,

    Jonas

To exclude replies, try exclude_replies=1 (and there’s the same setting in the widget.

I’ll have a look at putting ‘only images’ into the development version!

Brilliant, worked like a charm! Thanks Martin!

    Have a nice weekend.

Hi, to show only images I use media only. Works fine for me… 🙂

    Thanks guys,

I’ve now run into the opposite issue; that I would like to completely exclude all tweets with images attached to them. Any ideas if that’s possible?

Also, Alkorr, did you mean that you use [media_only=0] to only show images?

Thanks, and sorry to be a bother.

    Best,

Currently, neither are possible – and risk making the code quite complicated.

While I can understand why it could make sense to run with images only, I don’t understand why one would want to exclude tweets with images – when images aren’t displayed by default – and so you would be excluding something that has no visual impact on the site.

What’s the use case behind this? I’m wondering if there might be a better, more flexible way of supporting it.

    Hi Martin,

    Thanks for your reply.

I completely understand your reasons for why you might not want to add these options and it’s actually not that important to me anymore as I’ve now found a new solution (to running images only; by using Instagram) – although I do think it would have been two great new features, had it been easier to add them without messing up the code.

Anyway, in order to answer your question, and in case you’re curious why, then please have a look at my website here where you’ll see that I am using your plugin in alongside an Instagram feed. As I’ll now both be posting images to Instagram and to Twitter, I’d like to avoid repetition on the website by leaving out all tweets with images and thereby have Instagram supplying images and Twitter supplying only text based tweets. I hope that makes sense? Before the plan was to only use Twitter and have one twitter feed for images and one twitter feed for text based tweets, hence my desire for the option of only feeding images.

Thanks again for taking the time to consider my suggestions/needs.

    Best,

    Jonas
