Hi there,
Are you referring to WooCommerce > Reports? If so, you may be able to customize this via custom code, but not out of the box. If you’re talking about something else, it doesn’t sound like it’s part of WooCommerce core.

I am referring to the “Woocommerce Status” widget, which is shown on the dashboard. I would love to see the actual amount paid (=turnover) over there, instead of the amount without the applied taxes. This MUST be easy to customize, you’d say.

Ah, I see, it’s not inside the WooCommerce section, but on Dashboard > Home. Gotcha!
It looks like it’s pulling from WooCommerce > Reports. At WooCommerce > Reports, you can indeed see your net sales there.

Yes, I know, but that doesn’t answer my question. I would like this widget on the dashboard to show the sales INCLUDING tax (the actual amount paid). Can WooCommerce add such an option?

You could add this suggestion to our Ideas Board – the development team looks through there for ideas on what features to add, so ideas with a lot of votes and suggestions will get considered.
