# Turning off Google Analytics

 * In testing your plugin against your site [https://gdpr-wp.com](https://gdpr-wp.com)
   when I explicitly keep the GA tracking cookies off and save preferences. The 
   page refreshed, but the GA tracking cookies return?
 * I would expect the GA tracking cookies to be off until I explicitly turn on that
   option or am I missing something?
 * Also if the user simple clicks the “I Agree” option will that turn on cookie 
   setting that are set as optional like GA tracking?

 * Our stuff is not complete yet. We are waiting for V2 which I’m working on right
   now. V2 will be released before May 25th.
 * Even though we are still not blocking GA on this site, we are anonymizing the
   data being transmitted.
 * You should see this change after I release V2 in the next few days.
