If you’re seeing those then there’s a problem on your site that’s crashing it. What are the circumstances of the emails you’re receiving?

I was tweaking code in a theme or plugin, made a code error, error displayed to the browser like normal, I fixed the error and then 5 minutes later I got an email telling me of the error.

I don’t need WordPress to send me emails about my errors. But I can see how some might find that useful. All I’m asking is that WordPress give us the option to turn new features like that off.

All I’m asking is the WordPress be better than Microsoft, Apple, Google, Android, etc……..Stop forcing stuff down our throats!!!! Give US the option of turning features on or off.

    See https://make.wordpress.org/core/2019/04/16/fatal-error-recovery-mode-in-5-2/

Environments that would like to disable the fatal error handler and recovery mode functionality altogether can do so by setting a WP_DISABLE_FATAL_ERROR_HANDLERconstant, typically in wp-config.php. The enabled status for the handler should be checked for by using a new function wp_is_fatal_error_handler_enabled().

Why can’t this just be an option in Dashboard > Settings > General? Right under Email address have a checkbox for error alerts and a text field for alternative email address to go to the webmaster and not the site owner.

How annoying, I don’t need an email. I know what I am doing.

    Turn it off!

This should be a configuration not a convention. You don’t necessarily want to trigger an email if things fail. Or also you don’t want to do this all the time, i.e when you are developing
