 * These forums are for the free versions of plugins. Please use the vendor/developer’s
   direct support channel for commercial plugins.

 * This still needs to be fixed for anyone using any version. It’s ridiculous.

 * 2 years ago a small plugin popped up that you can use to fix this. The source
   code is available at [https://gist.github.com/traeblain/1094336](https://gist.github.com/traeblain/1094336)
 * Whilst his method is a little bit hacky, and this is not a method specifically
   endorsed by WPMU DEV, you are welcome to use it to suppress the notification.

 * Glad I could help! Could you possibly mark this thread as resolved so that we
   can keep the forum tidy and let other users know this thread contains an answer
   if they have the same question? Thanks!

 * One other thing to note is that if you must never use the WordPress update tool
   here for our pro version, otherwise you will update the pro/premium version you
   have to lite version available on WordPress.org.
 * [http://premium.wpmudev.org/wpmu-dev/update-notifications-plugin-information/](http://premium.wpmudev.org/wpmu-dev/update-notifications-plugin-information/)
 * Of course, you’re most welcome to remove it, but part of this plugins function
   is to ensure you don’t accidentally update to a lite version of the same name
   from WP directly.
 * As WPyogi requested, any further support for our premium version can be sought
   directly 🙂
 * Take care and have a great weekend!
