Support » Plugin: Image optimization & Lazy Load by Optimole » turn off LazyLoad BUT keep JS serve size to viewport?

I wish the image lazy load first shows wasn’t so blurry… it’s just too distracting for art gallery sliders for example. (I use Revolution Slider & Elementor addon Anywhere Elementor for sliders).

So can LazyLoad be turned off
BUT still keep the javascript serve image size to users viewport
    (which I love the most!)?

    Otherwise loving plug so far!
    THX!!!

  • Hey,

This should be coming soon as a plugin setting, but for now, you can use this plugin from here to replace blurry approach with “classic” lazy load: https://docs.optimole.com/article/1020-can-i-remove-the-blurry-placeholder-from-the-lazyload-effct .

Also, what do you think about just by default use the blurred lazy load only on content images and for sliders never use it, so instead of giving users an option, just apply best practices by default.

Thanks so much for fast reply!
I tried the remove lazy plugin you linked… nice to have the option but now my slides slide into view without any image then pos the image in and pushes the title/description text down.. So not ideal either… Hmmm, I think I will need to see if the slider widget I’m using from Anywhere Elementor addon can load next & previous slide images before they are seen (like Revolution Slider can be set to do).. which for sliders is best practice. (Unless there’s some other way your plugin can look at page and preload other images not visible yet?) .

    THX!!
