Support » Theme: WP-Forge » Turn off hamburger menu for mobile

    I don’t get this request often, but I’ve been asked to turn off the hamburger menu and show the regular menu even in mobile — is there an easy way to do this or some PHP modification required — any help appreciated!

  • Hello mocreate,

    Please share the site url so i can help you with the custom css.

    Kind Regards,

    Unfortunately I can’t share as the client hasn’t released the site yet to the public, but it would be similar to what I’ve created at

    Hey there,

    Sorry for the delay. @phpexpert21 – Unfortunately, it’s not about css it’s about removing or adjusting the right file. This was built with Foundation for Sites –

    @mocreate – That is very weird…lol but the client wants what the client wants. I believe this can be easily achieved by modifying the content-nav.php file.

    It doesn’t matter what menu position you are using. So open up content-nav.php and find the section that you have the menu set to, i.e. normal, scroll etc. and look for this:

          <div class="title-bar" data-responsive-toggle="main-menu" data-hide-for="medium">
              <button class="menu-icon" type="button" data-toggle="main-menu"></button>
              <div class="title-bar-title"><?php echo esc_attr(get_theme_mod('wpforge_nav_text','Menu')); ?></div>
          </div><!-- end title-bar -->

    It comes just before top-bar. You want to remove it and save your work. It’s not gonna look pretty but if thats what they want…oh well.

    Let me know if this helps and if you need anything else.

    Many thank yous — it did the trick, and I’ve tweaked the styling so it’s more agreeable. 🙂
