trying to ‘unmoderate’ comments

I’m trying to set up things so that I don’t have to moderate any comments. I know I will most likely have to change this, but for the present, it suits my purposes.

Everyone comes aboard as an Author after registration.

Admin->Settings->Discussion is checked as follows; everything else is blank.

Defaults: Allow people to post comments

Email: anyone posts a comment
a comment is held for moderation

Before a comment appears:
comment author fills out name and email

The rest is blank — nothing in the text boxes.

Yet, all comments except administrator’s are held for moderation. What am I missing here?
