• Hi Kyle. Love your plugin. Works well. I’m trying to get a secure connection going for my site and having a problem with my movie pages. Not sure if my problem is to do with your plugin or my jquery but maybe you can shed a little light on it for me. When I host the videos on my server everything comes up secure. But when I try to embed them from other domains, (with their permission) they come up insecure. (used https://whateverdomain.com/movie.mp4 so know that’s not the issue) So I tried a secure tester and it comes up as.

A file with an insecure url of “http://que.com/wp-json/mynamespace/v1/latest-post” was loaded via the javascript file: https://que.com/wp-includes/js/jquery/jquery.js?ver=1.12.4 on line 3. The insecure URL may not be directly contained in the script file and may exist elsewhere. (changed the domain as could be considered adult by some)

This only happens on movie pages with the movies hosted elsewhere so pretty sure the plugin is the cause. What I’m hoping you can tell me is if it’s something to do with the plugin or something with the jquery? I tried overwriting the jquery.js with the newest version but it still happens which is why I’m here asking you lol. Any incites would be much appreciated.

    Que

I think you’ll need to post a live link so I can check it out. Knowing that jQuery loaded the offending link doesn’t really get us anywhere. One way to narrow things down though is to try embedding the video using the WordPress video shortcode, so [video src="https://whateverdomain.com/movie.mp4"] and see if that loads securely. It’s a dumb question, but are you sure that the external domains can actually serve files via https?
