# Trying to restore database

 * I have a backup from last night that I cant restore via the plugin (it times 
   out). I tried to manual upload it but get this message”

   > DROP TABLE IF EXISTS `vaedn_options`
   >  MySQL said: Documentation
   > #1046 – No database selected
 * My host believes it is a plugin issue. Im having my host restore my site for 
   a small fee, but would like to avoid that in the future. Is it just a fluke? 
   Did I do something wrong when I made the backup?

 * What is the SQL command you ran to restore the file? If you’re using `mysql` 
   from the command line, you need to also specify the database on the command line.
   If you’re importing using a GUI tool like phpMyAdmin, then you should select 
   the database first, and use the ‘Import’ function within that (not the global
   one).
 * I think your host didn’t understand the question they were being asked. Either
   that or they don’t understand SQL (which is sadly quite possible).
