    Hi.

I had a problem connecting with Apache today and so had to a whole reinstall of wordpress. I was fine until I had to input my database name, database username, database password, and database host. Apparently everything was ok except for the database name. It couldn’t find it on my desktop even though it was there and correctly configured in MAMP. I do already have such a setup from yesterday on myPHPAdmin. I suppose it has to be deleted? Please advise what I should do! Thanks!

First make sure that your apache problems are fixed, make sure that it can display your “readme.html” file. Make sure apache can run .php files. Until your apache is running reliably there is no point in doing anything else.

Once apache is rock solid, then use your phpmyadmin to check your database name, and database user. Make sure they are configured into your wp-config.php file, then your WordPress site should work like it did before.
