I installed WordPress on a subdirectory and am trying to redirect my site to the root so when I complete my migration (Blogger to WP) the site will be accessed at 'example.com' - At the moment it is in a subdirectory 'example.com/soccer-blog'
I've been trying to follow this guide: http://codex.wordpress.org/Giving_WordPress_Its_Own_Directory
However, it seems I have 2 htaccess files, one in the /soccer-blog subdirectory (which I have edited) and one in the public_html root directory.
Really my 2 questions are:
-How do I redirect my files so the site is accessed at the original 'example.com' address (as opposed to the /soccer-blog one)?
-And at what point in a migration process should we move everything to the root directory?
At the moment I'm working on it behind the scenes and haven't changed my DNS settings etc, but some of the coding and poking around requires the end address, so I'm not sure at what point the subdirectory should be changed.
Thanks in advance for any help.
