Trying To Limit Total Rows Displayed

Hi, I’m trying to figure out how to limit the total number of rows displayed in my custom theme. My blog is at http://www.stuckfrompoker.com/blog
If the posts are too long, my template gets broken and doesn’t look as clean. Also, the ‘more’ tag does not work for me. I’d appreciate any help I can get. thanks.
