1st I installed long way round for the multi site (instead of the plugin) all works ok.

Now fo the MU mapping I followed the instruction from

    http://ottopress.com/2010/wordpress-3-0-multisite-domain-mapping-tutorial/#respond

up to step 2 then when go back to my login page I get this

The domain mapping plugin only works if the site is installed in /. This is a limitation of how virtual servers work and is very difficult to work around.

does any one have any Idea wats going on

  2. you got wordpress installed in a folder off the main domain. If you try an map domains to it, the folder name would remain.

  6. You've installed WordPress in the /news/ folder. If you want to use this to map domain, you have to have it instaled right at http://mortgagesforukexpats.info

If you have WordPress installed in test.com/example - then no.

You would be able to do what you've described if you had WordPress in test.com/

  9. ... and one of the sub-blogs was /test/ That you can map.
