I have a featured post slider on the main page of the site I just started. I am having a problem that the featured slider image you click on is linking to the wrong perma link. I'm new to this, but when I cant figure something out, I take to the inspect element browser to see if I can learn how the script works, and change it manually in a php or css. I found that if I changed the number 1 in this code
<a href="#1" class="cross-link active-thumb" title="NEED FOR SPEED: MOST WANTED screens from Gamescon"><img src="http://www.gameplayonstream.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/NFSpost.jpg" class="nav-thumb" width="125" height="75"></a> to 4, and so on for the other slides, it would fix them. So I took to the FTP and found slider.php, opened in wordpad, and found the code
<a href="#<?php echo $i; ?>" class="cross-link active-thumb" title="<?php the_title(); ?>"><img src="<?php echo get_post_meta($post->ID, 'featured', true);?>" class ="nav-thumb" width="125" height="75" /></a> It looks to me that it is a script that auto applys the numbers, so here in lies the problem. I dont have a sweet clue were to go from here. any direction would be apreciated. Thank you.
