  • hi, i have seen many themes that have this <p><?php _e(“Uh Oh. Something is missing. Try double checking things.”, “bonestheme“); ?></p>

    looking at the bold “bonestheme” its in like every command just wondering what it does

  • That’s the theme’s text domain. It enables translation of the string into another language if available.

    ok thanks is there like a place where this is first mentioned or like a function defining the text domain

    Yes. It is usually added in the functions file.

    load_theme_textdomain( 'bonestheme', get_template_directory() . '/languages' );
